Welcome to our new and improved website. Hopefully you’ll agree it’s looking pretty snazzy. Most importantly, we’ve also been bringing our content up-to-date, not least the inclusion of beavers as a European Protected Species in Scotland, and some shiny new faces have joined our team in the last year.
In late 2013, Direct Ecology were very excited to discover the first confirmed roost in Scotland for this species. The roost was found by our ecologists whilst undertaking building surveys for the Forestry Commission near Newton Stewart. Due to continued expansion, as of 1st February, 2016, Direct Ecology has a new home. We are still in Dunblane, but in more spacious premises at Duckburn Industrial Estate. We are pleased to have been awarded the Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) contract for a new hydro-scheme near Loch Lomond, for DHG Hydro Ltd. We will be starting on site with reptile mitigation work.
We now have two staff members fully trained and JNCC certified in Marine Mammal Observation (MMO). We are pleased to be adding yet another discipline to our skill set and look forward to exploring further opportunities undertaking offshore survey with clients old and new.
